More Good News

So the doctors have now given a name to Johnathan's rapid breathing- pulmonary hypertension. I think I could have come up with that one:). Either way, his right lug has now inflated completely on it own, the left lung is a little hazy from the x-ray, it is still undetermined if it is due to infection or because he is lacking a coating that is supposed to cover the inside of his lungs. The blood culture is still negative, and we have two more days to wait on that, but that is still good news! His breathing has begun to stabilize, it is still a little rapid, but it is consistently rapid which is much better than being sporadic and rapid. His blood pressure has come up, in his case this is also a good sign. The nurses are going to start weening him off of the oxygen today, they did not do that last night like we thought. His blood gases are saying between 97 and 100 which is excellent.

Thank you all for all your prayers, thoughts and support through out this. It is greatly appreciated and welcomed!
